Update to Email List

I’m sorry for the inconvenience, but we are switching back to feedburner in July, which is a slow process. Everyone on the list will receive an email asking them to confirm the subscription. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience, but this change is going to help the site and offer more chances for free books and giveaways! We really hope you stick with us for the changeover!

A Poison Dark and Drowning (Kingdom on Fire, Book Two) by Jessica Cluess {Book Review}

9780553535945

The second in the series, this book shines as bright as the first. As soon as I learned I was getting this book in exchange for my honest opinion, I ordered the first from the library and didn’t put it down until I was done. It is addictive and anyone who loves urban fantasy authors like Sarah J Maas and Leigh Bardugo.

I hadn’t read the previous editions, so I can’t compare the differences, but this book couldn’t have come at a better time for me. This book is a must-have for anyone even thinking about changing careers. In addition to awesome job hunting tips, it covers finding the best job to suit you and some exercises to help along the way.

Want to learn to paint with watercolors in a month? This book is a great beginners guide that gives practical advice on how to learn to watercolor. The projects build upon each basic skill it teaches, until you have a finished masterpiece. A lot of libraries offer painting night and I see a lot of local wine & paint nights. You can take the skills you learn here to a new level!

Color Index XL by Jim Krause {Book Review}

9780399579783

This book is exactly like it appears on the outside, hundreds and hundreds of color schemes and RGB color codes. This is great for anyone who likes to design, and I even see the potential for use in home decor. Not everyone is gifted in color theory (or has a good eye for that matter), and this takes the guesswork out of color themes!
